Alejandra Consejo graduated her Masters in Physics at the University of Zaragoza, in Spain. She received her PhD in Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in 2017. Her doctoral studies focused on modeling the anterior eye morphometry. During her PhD she collaborated with the University of Manchester, UK. She received the EYRA 2017 (European Young Researchers Award) as best PhD graduate in Europe. In 2018 she graduated her second master, Master in Business and Administration, with honors. After working one year and a half as postdoc researcher in the Department of Ophthalmology in the Antwerp University Hospital, in Belgium, she joined the Physical Optics & Biophotonics Group to develop a tool based on innovative photonic methods and modeling, which will contribute to a more effective, individualized treatment of eye diseases and to strengthen the leading role of industry in the field of diagnostic imaging in ophthalmology.
