Code Europe Spring 2018

2018-05-25

Dawid Borycki participated in the Code Europe Spring 2018 conference. The visit aimed to give two talks. Titles and short abstracts of these presentations are presented below. Presentations were recorded by the organizer and will be published on their YouTube channel.

Apart from presenting, Dawid Borycki had the opportunity to meet young, motivated, and dedicated people interested in exploring their skills in signal/image processing of data which were received in professor Wojtkowski's lab.

Presentation info:

1. Programming for Windows Mixed Reality – In this talk, I will explain how to develop apps for Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) platform, which includes HoloLens and new immersive headsets. To this end differences between Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Realities will be defined. Next, I will briefly review available programming tools for WMR and show how to create apps with selected approaches. Afterward, a complete guide to creating W MR app with selected tools will be presented.

2. Azure Machine Learning Time Series Analysis for Anomaly Detection – Anomaly Detection is one of the most important features of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that collect and analyze temporal changes of data from various sensors. In many scenarios, sensor data doesn’t change significantly over time. However, when it does, it usually means that your system has encountered an anomaly—and this anomaly can lead to a specific malfunction. In this presentation, I’ll show you how to use Azure Machine Learning Time Series Anomaly Detection to identify anomalous sensor readings and how to utilize this information in remote client apps.
