ESULaB 2019

2019-10-21

Łukasz Kornaszewski attended a conference organized jointly by Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology in Jena and a laser manufacturing company, Coherent. The conference name was European Symposium on Ultrafast Laser driven Biophotonics (ESULaB). During three days he took part in scientific talk sessions and presented a poster showing an overview of Physical Optics and Biophotonics Group work in the area of femtosecond laser applications to human eye disease diagnostics. The poster title was “Two-photon in vivo imaging of retina”. The poster attracted some attention and Łukasz had an opportunity to discuss the Group’s activities with a few directors of Coherent and some European scientists, including specialists in human bones and brain imaging. He also investigated the exhibition part of the show and brought from there information about potentially useful fast cameras and broadband spectrum lasers, confirmed by exchanging contacts with the manufacturers’ representatives. Łukasz Kornaszewski also disseminated the news about other activities of the Department of Physical Chemistry of Biological Systems to the conference attendees.
