SPIE/COS Photonics Asia 2019

2019-11-25

The main goal of the Mounika Rapolu visit was to present a lecture: “Longitudinal growth and progression studies of in-vivo mouse brain Glioblastoma (GBM) tumor microvasculature using OCT”. The SPIE/COS Photonics Asia is an international conference organized by the international society for optics and photonics held at Hangzhou International Expo Center in Hangzhou, China. This conference consisted of a series of interdisciplinary talks including High-Power Lasers and Applications, Optoelectronic Devices, or Advanced Optical Imaging Technologies. The Chinese Optical Society has conducted five technical workshops on emerging topics in optics and photonics. This gave her a good opportunity to learn new imaging techniques and data processing. The Workshop topics included  Super-Resolution Imaging, Optical Trapping and Manipulation, Oceanic and Atmospheric Optics, Microcavities, and Metasurfaces. The feedback from the audience after the Monika talk and interaction with peers and scientists gave her new ideas and space to discuss her research.
