XVII Scientific and Training Conference of the Polish Society of Pediatric Nephrology

2019-08-05

The main goal of prof. Maciej Wojtkowski's visit was to present a plenary lecture „Non-invasive vital imaging in biology and medicine“ opening the XVII Conference of Polish Society of Pediatric Nephrology. The lecture was carried out on the invitation of the organizers (as an honorary guest).

The aim of the conference was to present the latest reports in the field of children's nephrology and related fields. Leading topics were hypertension, urination disorders, and urinary tract infections. An important aspect of the conference was also creating opportunities for young nephrologists to establish scientific contacts with specialists from other centers. During this annual scientific and training meeting, specialists from all over Poland dealing with the treatment of children with kidney disease and hypertension presented scientific achievements and exchanged clinical experiences. The conference was also a great occasion to listen to lectures of foreign guests from Lithuania and the USA. As part of the meeting, workshops were held on hypertension, urinary incontinence, and the use of Doppler tests in pediatric nephrology.
