Lab visit to the Department of Pharmacology, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland USA.

2016-11-18

The goal of the lab visit was to improve the TPEF imaging system by introducing new excitation source delivering pulses of shorter duration and centered at optimized wavelength. New dispersion compensation unit, capable of compensating high order dispersion components was also introduced into the system.
With new laser and dispersion compensation system, we achieved 2.95 fold increase of the TPEF signal. With this setup we performed high quality TPEF imaging of the RPE of mouse eye in vivo with significantly reduced excitation power.
