Study visit to the University of California Irvine

Jakub Bogusławski visited the Centre for Translational Vision Research, the University of California Irvine in Irvine, CA. The scientific aim of this visit was to continue the development of two-photon excited fluorescence scanning laser ophthalmoscope (TPEF SLO) for eye imaging. Specific goals included (1) setting up and incorporating a new hybrid photodetector (HYD) in the TPEF SLO setup, (2) setting up and incorporating a new, faster galvanometer scanner in the TPEF SLO setup, and (3) general rearranging of the setup on the optical table to enable incorporating adaptive optic device. After those changes, the setup was tested during imaging of biological samples, including mouse retinal cross-sections.
