ERA Chair holder selects “synergetic teams”
Strengthening internal integration aimed at joint research projects is among main goals of the CREATE project. For this reason, Professor Wojtkowski meets research groups from IPC to select synergetic teams, i.e. teams willing to closely cooperate with the ERA Chair holder. This action is expected to increase influence of the ERA Chair holder on IPC and quality of its studies.
In 2016, Professor Wojtkowski and his team met 4 IPC research groups, i.e.:
- Chemical Information Processing Group
- Surface Nanoengineering for chemo- and bio-sensors Group
- Department of photochemistry and spectroscopy - Laser Centre
- Photochemistry and Spectroscopy Department.
Unimpeded discussion between group members led to exchange of information on current achievements, ideas and plans for further research. The ERA Chair holder focused on identification of studies with the prospect of benefiting from biology and optical inspiration, and inversely – methods which may serve as analytical tool for researching biological systems. Preliminary talks showed that possible synergies between individual groups are numerous.
Meetings with subsequent research groups will be continued in 2017.
